The Health & Safety Regulations States:
Where tap water is not available, sterile water or sterile normal saline (Sodium Cloride 0.9%), in disposable containers each holding at least 500ml should be kept easily accessible, and near to the First Aid Box, for eye irrigation.
At least 1 litre of emergency eye care (2 x 500ml) should be provided.
COSHH Regulations:"Employers are to provide emergency eye/skin wash facilities wherever the work force may be exposed to injury from chemicals or any substance hazardous to health.
