EN471-The Standard for Hi Vis Clothing.
-Florescent material provides Hi visibility throughout the day. Reflective material ensures high visibility during the night.
-CLASS 3 HI VIS CLOTHING PROVIDE THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF PROTECTION. Typical Class 3 garments include Coats,Jackets with sleeves,Coveralls and Two Piece Combination suits. Class 3 Hi Vis must use a minimum of 0.8m2 of background material and 0.2m2 of retroreflective material.
-CLASS 2 HI VIS CLOTHING PROVIDE AN INTERMEDIATE LEVEL OF PROTECTION. Typical Class 2 garments include Sleeveless Waistcoats, Tabards and Bib & Brace Trousers. Class 2 garments must use a minimum of 0.5m2 of background material and 013m2 of retroflective material.
-CLASS 1 HI VIS CLOTHING ARE THE LOWEST LEVEL OF PROTECTION. Typical Class 1 garments include TROUSERS and HARNESS.
